“On The Road Again” by Jeff Gardner

Oklahoma  City, OK – June 15, 2010 -- Opening & exhibit by Oklahoma artist Jeff Gardner in the Historic Paseo Arts District. Opening reception is Friday, July 2nd from 6:00pm-10:00pm. Show runs thru July 31st.

Life is dynamic. The world around us is constantly moving.  What do you see?  Do you see it?  Artist Jeff Gardner’s exhibit, “On the Road Again” at In Your Eye Gallery, features a new series of pastel on silver gelatin prints that presents a unique perspective on the dynamic nature of life around us.  Part painting, part photograph, the art integrates movement, light, and color into evocative pieces. The subjects are blurred – completely or in part – from photographs taken from a moving vehicle.  The painting on the entire surface of  the black and white photograph is at times bold and energetic, and at others, subtle and calming. You might see the beauty of nature in abstract, almost unrecognizable images, or how man-made structures intrude onto a scene, subtly or even quite noticeably. In either case, you see a snapshot in time, as time moves on, as the journey unfolds.
