A Passion for Art
Oklahoma City, OK – January 20, 2010 -- (http://www.inyoureyegallery.com) Opening & Exhibit by local Oklahoma artists at the "In Your Eye Studio & Gallery" in the Historic Paseo Arts District. Opening reception is Friday, February 5th from 6:00pm-10:00pm. “In Your Eye Gallery” will also be hosting the Tidal School Vineyards located near Drumright, OK. Show runs thru February 27th.
“A Passion for Art” is inspired by each artist’s excitement and obsession with the creative process. There is a fine line between passion and obsession and the line is often blurred by our need to explore our imaginations. Once something takes form in our minds there is a need to put down paint, mold glass, or draw a line that will take a life of it’s own… and through that process, produce a work of art. By following our passions we hope to create a visual beauty that others can enjoy and cherish as much as we do in creating it. Featured artists include: Nicki Albright, Annalisa Campbell, Gayle Curry, Sarah Davison, Jeff Gardner, Sue Hale, Bev Landdeck, Karen Orr and Dana Powell.
Tidal School Vineyards

Built in the 1920's during Oklahoma's original oil boom, by John D. Rockefeller's oil company and later acquired by J. Paul Getty, this 8,000 sq. ft. historic school building has been restored and transformed into Oklahoma's premier winery and vineyard. The Tidal School building was originally constructed to serve the educational needs of Rockefeller's local workforce. It is an excellent example of the Federal Style of architecture and just one of the many great sites to see and only a short drive off America's Mother Road...Route 66. Tidal School Vineyards and Winery owners have accomplished a half-million dollar renovation of the historic Tidal School building, located two miles south of Drumright on Highway 16. The new winery, opened April 22nd 2004, and features a tasting room and gift shop, banquet room, and outdoor patio overlooking the vineyard and gazebo.
