All Black & White

There will be an opening & exhibit by Oklahoma artist Randy Poe at the "In Your Eye Studio & Gallery" in the Historic Paseo Arts District. Opening reception is Friday, March 6th from 6:00pm-10:00pm. In Your Eye Gallery will also be hosting the Deer Creek Winery located in Edmond, OK. Show runs thru March 31st.

While Randy prefers to display color photography, this exhibit will be solely black-and-white photography. It includes primarily nature and scenic photographs taken over the past three years of a variety of subjects. Randy shoots totally in color, and selects appropriate photographs for conversion to black-and-white on the computer. This will be a display of totally digital photography. His “regular” ongoing display in the gallery will still include both framed and unframed color photographs.

Deer Creek Vineyard www.deercreekvineyard.com Deer Creek Vineyard's winemaker, David Martin, first became interested in making wine after a family European vacation. The Martin's drove through some of the most famous wine regions in the world. After seeing thousands upon thousands of acres of vineyards and buying a few bottles of wine along the way, David thought that he should be able to make some wine. After returning home, David started reading everything he could find on making wine. Armed with this information, David bought a wine kit on the Internet and made his first batch of wine. "This was when it started to go horribly out of control," he said about his wines. David entered his wines in the 2003 Oklahoma State Fair, which is held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and came away with surprising results. Deer Creek Vineyard is located at 1010 Silver Oaks Drive in Edmond, Oklahoma.
