Inspirations by Karen, Carolyn and Kay
There will be an opening & exhibit by Oklahoma artist Karen Orr, Carolyn Chandler & the late Kay Orr at the "In Your Eye Studio & Gallery" in the Historic Paseo Arts District. Opening reception is Friday, December 5th from 6:00pm-10:00pm. In Your Eye Gallery will also be hosting the Sand Hill Vineyard located located near Calumet, OK. Show runs thru December 30th.
Karen Orr has joined forces with Carolyn Chandler and the late Kay Orr to present their views of life, art and inspiration. This exhibit will feature a variety paintings created by the three artist in a multitude of mediums and subject matter. The combined works show the inspiration that each has had on the other and you will see similarities of technique and approach, yet each artist yields distinctive results.

Karen Orr
Karen’s work is influenced by her travels around the world and her natural curiosity. Her interest in a variety of subject matters and mediums keeps her work diverse and fresh. She is not afraid to try a new technique, style or a medium. Because of this she has produced distinctly different styles that seem to have no relation to each other. It’s a wonderful mix of fun, colors and subjects. Contributing to this wonderful mix of work is the late Kay Orr who taught Karen for several years. Her influence can be seen in Karen’s work as well as other artists that she has studied with.
Carolyn Chandler
In this show Carolyn Chandler explores a variety of subjects using three different tools to express her artistic vision. Pencils, pens & brushes are the various tools used to observe and discover her subject matter. Her pen & ink drawings have the ability to tell a story in black & white, her colored pencils adds another dimension that is perceptive & insightful, and her oil/brush delves into the very depths of the subject matter, bringing it all to life. This show is diverse and creates insights of opposing views with the different mediums and methods.
Kay Orr
For this show we have obtained some estate paintings of the late Kay Orr. Since her death her paintings have been scarce so this is a rare opportunity to purchase her work. It will include oils, watercolors and acrylics in Kay’s distinctive and colorful style. This is a great opportunity to view her great work.

Sand Hill Vineyards
In Your Eye Studio & Gallery will also host a wine tasting during the opening reception of the December Art Walk. Sand Hill Vineyards, one of Oklahoma's new award winning wineries, will be offering tasting of a variety of wines.
Winemaker and Viticulture Professor Andrew Snyder and Vineyard Manager Katy Lee will pour Sand Hill Vineyards wines. Wines available for tasting and purchase include White Zinfandel, Vignoles, Chisholm Trail Red, Muscat, Riesling and Pinot Grigio. Sand Hill Vineyards is one of Oklahoma’s newest wineries. The vineyard was planted in 2002 and is located near Calumet, OK.
