Oklahoma City, OK, January 15th, 2008 -- Opening & Exhibit by Oklahoma artist, Jennifer Lynn Farrar, at the "In Your Eye Studio & Gallery" in the Historic Paseo Arts District. Opening reception is Friday, February 1st from 6:00pm-10:00pm. Show runs thru March 1st.

Psychedelic: Of or noting a mental state characterized by a profound sense of intensified sensory perception, sometimes accompanied by severe perceptual distortion and hallucinations and by extreme feelings of either euphoria or despair.
A familiar term used to define a turbulent era in our history. Although turbulent and controversial, the psychedelic era brought forth new “freedoms of expression” in music, clothing, and art. This era changed the way we viewed others and the world around us.
Jennifer Lynn Farrar, glass artist from In Your Eye Gallery will be presenting her own inspirations derived from the colors and shapes of the psychedelic era. In her life and in her art she values the unconventional, and embraces the unexpected new truths or freedoms that come from conflict. She thrives on moving those truths forward to a higher level of understanding or perception whether through her glasswork, in the workplace, or mediating small claims court cases within Oklahoma’s judicial system.
Her edgy original glass creations are brought to life within the workspace of a renovated school bus which she considers her glass studio. The bus is parked out on ten beautiful acres of Oklahoma wilderness. Painted flowers, colorful handprints, and famous quotations written by visitors decorate this unconventional art studio.
