 CHAD WOOLBRIGHT
Chad's love of art came about after taking a painting class 25 years ago. After visiting some of the world's greatest museums it made him think, "I can do that". Of course “that” proved to more difficult than first anticipated, but along the way to figuring that out, he developed a passion that could only be quenched by further explorations. His works are influenced by the world around him.
Chad shuns traditional descriptions of his work using "artsy" terms and just paints what he thinks will look cool. He embraces the beautiful and the bizarre and strives to create work that makes one look twice, and then perhaps, look away. He works mostly in acrylics on canvas and on plexiglass. His art has been shown at JRB Gallery and IAO Gallery in Oklahoma City. Chad is also a resident artist at "In Your Eye" on the Paseo in Oklahoma City.
