CAROLYN CHANDLER
While growing up in Florida, Carolyn would sometimes sit on the beach and sketch whatever she saw there. While sketching people would watch and sometimes buy her drawings. So with the encouragement of family and friends, she started attending workshops & classes from local artists & colleges. She entered many art shows & festivals where she was fortunate enough to receive a few awards. Later in life Carolyn attended Tampa College in Florida where she studied commercial art. After working & living in Florida, South Carolina, & Nevada, she moved to Norman, OK. While retired she missed being around people that were interested in art. So she started attending classes at the Fire House Art Center studying under Ron Radcliff. And that's where she found a love for Oil Painting. Though she still has a love for drawing with pencils & pens, she thinks Oil Painting is just much more fulfilling!
